Referral Programme
Terms and Conditions

​1. Referrer Eligibility

This referral programme is available to individuals aged 18 years or older.

You may refer friends, family members, colleagues, or acquaintances.
Referrals must be New Zealand residents.

2. How to Submit a Referral

To make a referral, email the details of the person you are referring to info@alderhomes.co.nz.

Please include the name of the person you are referring and a brief description of their project.

Or,  they can contact us directly – Mentioning you (name and email address) as their referrer

You will receive a confirmation email once your referral has been recorded.

You may make as many referrals as you like. Each qualifying referral earns a separate reward.

3. When a Referral Is Valid

A referral qualifies when:

• A new client is referred to Alder Homes

• A building contract is signed and the deposit is paid

• The project is completed and final payment received

Only one referral reward applies per client or project.

If multiple people refer the same person, the reward will be paid to the first referral recorded by Alder Homes.

Cancelled, suspended, or non-qualifying projects are not eligible.

4. Eligible Project Types

Referral rewards apply to:

• New builds

• Renovations

• Extensions

• Full recladding projects

• Larger remedial works

The programme excludes:

• Kitchen-only or bathroom-only renovations

• Small remedial or minor works

• Pergolas, decks, fencing, and retaining works, unless agreed in writing

5. Referral Reward Value

• The referral reward is 1% of the original

• contract value (including GST), capped at $3,000

• Projects valued over $450,000 receive an additional $500 bonus reward

• All referral rewards are GST inclusive and represent the total amount payable

• Rewards are non-transferable

The reward is calculated on the original contract scope only.
Variations, upgrades, or additional works are excluded.

6. New Client Requirement

• The referred client must not already be in contact with Alder Homes

• Referrals for existing or past clients and their partners are not eligible

 

7. Referrer & Property Exclusions

Referral rewards do not apply to:

• Self-referrals

• Any property owned, occupied, or financially connected to the referrer or their partner

• Referrals where the referrer is engaged by, represents, or is paid by the property owner (the referred client), unless agreed in writing by Alder Homes prior to referral

8. Payment Method & Limitations

• Referral rewards are paid after project completion

• Payment will be made directly to the referrer’s New Zealand bank account in NZD

• Rewards cannot be redeemed as a discount or credit toward building works

 

9. Tax Responsibility

Referral rewards may be considered taxable income.
Any tax obligations are the responsibility of the recipient. Independent tax advice should be sought if required.

 

10. Marketing & Promotion

By participating, you agree that Alder Homes may use your first name and/or photographs (if supplied) for promotional purposes related to the Referral Reward Programme.

 

11. Privacy & Information Use

By participating, you consent to Alder Homes storing your contact information for the purposes of administering the programme.

Alder Homes may disclose the final contract value, or such information as reasonably necessary to calculate the referral reward.

No additional personal or contractual information will be disclosed.

All personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

 

12. Programme Changes & Final Decision

Alder Homes may amend, suspend, or withdraw the Referral Reward Programme at any time without prior notice.

All decisions are made at the sole discretion of Alder Homes and are final. No correspondence will be entered into.
